MATI to host the 2nd Edition of MATI Insight: A Strategy Masterclass by Mark Pollard
The Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) has announced and opened registration for the 2nd Edition of MATI Insight which is set to be Strategy (Marketing) Masterclass titled “Sweathead Masterclass: Strategy is your Words” by Mark Pollard.
The event is set to be held on the 17th of November 2024(Sunday), from 10am – 2pm at Crossroads Maldives, Event Hall.
Key Learnings of the Masterclass:
1. The Four Points Framework,
2. Ideas – linear and lateral thinking,
3. Insights – how to have and write them,
4. Strategy – how to write it,
5. Why brands need to use words better, and
6. How to work a problem into a creative brief.
Participants are set to run through over 10 exercises and make their own Four Points for a brand.
At Mighty Jungle, Mark helps leaders, marketers, and agencies get out of their heads and into the wild using a combination of training, strategy, and writing, and he’s done this with The Economist, Electronic Arts, Facebook, Twitter, Wall Street Journal, Mozilla, Havas, TBWA/ Media Arts Lab, and more. In a prior life, he ran strategy teams at McCann, Leo Burnett, and Big Spaceship, judged the Jay Chiat Awards and the Webbys, and sat on the Australian Account Planning Group (APG) committee.

MATI Insight is a series of knowledge-sharing events aimed at disseminating expertise, best practices, and insights pertinent to various aspects of the Tourism Industry. The thematic scope of the series is set to encompass Revenue, Sales and Marketing, Branding, Environmental Conservation and Protection, Human Capital Development, Technology and Innovation, and more.
The inaugural edition of MATI Insight was held on the 14th of May 2024 at H. Meerumaa, Male’. The event (with a thematic focus area on Revenue, Sales and Branding) commenced with a networking session, followed by a series of presentations delivered by Trip.com Group, STR, Lighthouse (formerly OTA Insight), Lottiefiles. This was followed by a Q&A session and discussions among attendees.
